Valley Cricketers was started by a group of computer professionals, native Bangalore, India(Silicon Valley of India). The team started playing tennis ball matches with similar teams from 1993. It was an exciting phase of sheer fun for the following four years.

The club stepped up to playing serious cricket by joining the NCCA - Northern California Cricket Association in 1997. The team started off with a high note of success in the 'C' division winning the first four games and almost made it to the B division with a season record of 8 wins & 8 losses.

With determination to make it to the "B" division, the 1998 season was an exciting one, winning most of the games. Valley triumphed as the "C" division champions in the final game of the season. Sandeep Badida won the NCCA's Most Valuable Player award and Vamshidhar Kandala won the NCCA's Best Fielder award. The 1999 and the 2000 seasons has been an average one from win loss perspective in the competitive "B" division.

Most of the players had played competitive cricket in their previous lives. Valley's players like Vinay Badami and Sunny Ramesh, have played first class cricket in India (India schools XI and Ranji Trophy).

Valley is fortunate to get coaching tips from Mr. Syed Abid Ali (Former Test Cricketer from India). As a well wisher of Valley, he continues to help the team with his wealth of knowledge and experience on a periodic basis.

The team plays cricket for fun and for the passion of the game. And considers it as a major social event to meet friends and family. The family atmosphere, combined with the cricketer's great attitude has helped the team from not losing a single player to another team. Also, in the last 4 seasons in the NCCA, Valley cricketers are proud of never defaulting on any commitment, be it umpiring, conduct (on or off the field), timely submission of scorecards etc, thereby maintaining one of the cleanest record with NCCA.

Valley Cricketers share their ground with the East Bay Cricket Club in Hayward, California.

Valley Cricketers are currently sponsored by,
